Ain't That A Shame

Pat Boone

21-year-old singer Pat Boone has his first No. 1 hit on the U.S. Pop Charts with his smooth, but tepid pop cover of Fats Domino's hit "Ain't That A Shame". With his clean cut image and good looks, Boone later covers many more R&B hits in his light pop vocal style, on his way to becoming one of the best-selling artists of the 1950s.
