Rock & Roll Waltz

Kay Starr

Pop/Jazz singer Kay Starr has a No. 1 U.S. Pop hit with her single "The rock and roll Waltz". Although not rock and roll, the song spotlights the growing generational divide, as the song tells the story of a teenager catching her parents attempting to dance the waltz to a rock and roll record.
