War

Edwin Starr

Motown artist Edwin Starr tops the charts in the U.S. and reaches No. 3 U.K. with his anti-war protest song "War". Originally written for The Temptations by Motown writers Norman Whitfield and Barrett Strong, Starr's version ramps up the intensity for a declaration.
