Get It On (Bang A Gong)

T.Rex

Former U.K. folkie Marc Bolan transitions to a full electric band, shortens the name from Tyrannosauras Rex to T.Rex and scores two U.K. No. 1 singles including "Get It On" in July. The song later hits No. 10 U.S. in 1972 with a new name "Get It On (Bang a Gong)".
