Spin Magazine Launch

American music magazine Spin is launched by Bob Guccione Jr. as an alternative to Rolling Stone. Guccione is the son of Penthouse publisher Bob Guccione Sr. The magazine focused on the emerging alternative rock scene, grunge, and hip hop. The print version of the magazine ceased in 2012.
