Icelandic singer-songwriter Bjork releases her self-titled debut solo album which works it's way to No. 3 U.K. and No. 61 U.S. The album has since gone Platinum in the U.S. and Double Platinum in the U.K. The singles "Play Dead", "Big Time Sensuality" and "Violently Happy" all chart in the U.K. Top Twenty.
